Firstly, what you have to do is turn off your electric razor first. Then, locate the release button on either side of the blade cover foil.  

When the foil cover is lifted, turn on your razor and let it run for 5 to 10 seconds to free up hair and debris that is stucked inside the blade. This step should be done at each time you finish using your razor instead of just doing it weekly.  

The second step is remove the cover foils after you switched your razor off. By holding down the release button should enable you to release gently the cover foil by pulling it upwards. 

It will eventually disconnect itself from the razor.  Follow up is tapping your cover foil on a flat surface. You can tap it on a counter top. Be reminded that it should be proceeded with gentle to avoid any damage or bend.   

Next, take a small cleaning brush and brush the inner part of your braun 7526 Shaver. Run your brush through the cutting block and the pivoting head. Lastly, apply a drop of light machine oil directly onto the shaver cover foil. 

Braun recommends this step especially for those with sensitive skin. It is not hard to buy this oil, you can actually purchase it at any hardware stores, and sometimes even stores that sell electric razor. Replace your cover foil carefully, and click it back by pressing on the release button. Be reminded that the oil your added in must be fully dry before you use your razor again. 

Similar to other Braun products such as braun clean and renew system, Braun 7526 shaver can have a very long lifespan if you maintain it properly. Besides tips that were stated above, some precautions are that you should not let your stubble and hair build up at the bottom of the foil.
